Marisa Brauer grew up on a farm outside of Battle Creek, NE. She graduated from Kansas State University in 2001. Marisa practiced at a small animal veterinary clinic in Norfolk, Nebraska for 13 years before practicing in Yankton, SD for 2 years. She returned to Nebraska in 2016 to join Westside Family Pet Clinic and Willow Creek Veterinary Services. Her specialty is small animal veterinary medicine and surgery and she also works on "furry" exotic pets. Marisa is terrified of snakes!
She married her husband, Richard, in 1997. They met when his brother married Marisa's twin sister in 1995. Her greatest accomplishments are their two boys, Rich and Caleb. Their family pets include 2 dogs (Misty and Diesel), 3 cats (Mollie, Mae, and Eclipse), 2 guinea pigs (Jacob and Matthew), 1 hamster (Dove) and three horses (Buck, Cobb, and King). In her spare time, Marisa loves photography, digital scrapbooking, camping, Husker football, and most of all spending time with her family.
